Macbeth and Banquo were returning from battle. They passed by three witches who said,"All hail thee Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor!" Macbeth shuddered. " All hail Macbeth, who shall be king!" Macbeth thought about it. How could they know his name and yet mistake him for the Thane of Cawdor? And what did they mean that he would be king? "what do you see for me?" said Banquo. "You will be the father of kings, but no king yourself!" said the witches. Then before Macbeth could say something, they vanished! When Macbeth returned home, His wife wanted to kill the king. " I cannot do that!" Macbeth said. But as Lady Macbeth talked, his ambition grew. That night, Lady Macbeth gave the guards a sleeping potion. Then while the king was asleep, Macbeth killed him. Then lady Macbeth smeered the blood on the guards so that the people will think the guards killed the king. The next morning they saw their king dead in his bed. Then Macbeth pretended to be angry at the guards and killed them both. The sons of the king was scared and fled away. People think they fled because they were guilty of the murder. Then Macbeth became king. But one nobleman became suspicious. Then Macbeth  became afraid that Banquo would tell on him. So he killed him too. That night, there was a feast. And on the chair Macbeth was supposed to sit on, there sat the ghost of Banquo! Macbeth stood in horror. " What are you doing there?!" he said. People were startled by this. "Don't be alarmed." Lady Macbeth said. Then he went to the witches for help and they said, " No man born of a woman shall harm you." Macbeth sighed, relieved. " Every man is born of a woman!" But then there was this cry of death. " The queen is dead!" She died of her own guilty murder. Then Macduff came to bring war!!!!! Macduff came out on the field and shouted," No man that is born of a woman shall kill me!" Macduff replied, " Here is one who is not born, but taken from the mother's womb!" " The witches tricked me!" Macduff said. Macduff cried, " Come at me for I shall die like a warrior!" THE END
