Vim, one of our cluster Dads put together a beautiful montage of our wonderful third year together. We've been homeshooling since being assigned the group K-E for our Kinder year, to our random "1"st Grade sections that led us to combine G1 "n" KE (G1NKE) into what we lovingly now call family.

One of our fellow clustermates, Windz Odiaz hosts a weekly Co-op at their village park here in Nuvali and we were so privileged to be invited. The parents take turns volunteering to facilitate the activities like playing a traditional Filipino game, do a Brushwork activity, a Swedish Drill, and listen to a read-aloud in Filipino. It's such a wonderful culmination where all the kids get to speak in Tagalog with peers, have some Music, Art and PE all in one morning every week!
July 31-August 4, 2023
Aside from the regular lessons on Human Body, the kids got to experience hands-on learning and the value of service as part of the first batch of McDonald's Nuvali's Kiddie Crew! They got to experience handling the cash register, taking and serving orders, assembling burgers, and got to do a song and dance number with new friends.
We love how McDonald's incorporated good values like compassion, diligence and responsibility in their daily lessons that week, albeit that the kids ate fast food everyday for 5 straight days! We had to be more intentional in reminding the kids that eating fastfood is not the healthiest way of taking their meals :D
It was a pretty good deal considering each kid's registration fee was only P800+ and aside from free meals for the entire 5 days, they took home lots of goodies like a bag, cap, a dry-fit shirt, a pencil holder and certificates at the end of the program.

Highlights Video
Our cluster group worked on arranging and shooting this Christmas Hymn video. Roux played the bass guitar lines and Paco was on the tambourine. Enjoy!
No pandemic stopped us from celebrating this season of giving when much was given to us then :)
